The Devils have acquired defenseman Kurtis Foster and goaltender Timo Pielmeier from the Ducks in exchange for defenseman Mark Fraser, center Rob Pelley and their seventh-round pick in the 2012 draft.

The Hurricanes have traded defenseman Tomas Kaberle to the Canadiens for defenseman Jaroslav Spacek, according to an ESPN.com report. The Hurricanes announced the deal Friday, a few hours before their game at Winnipeg.

The Stars traded forward Krys Barch to the Panthers for a minor league player Wednesday. The Stars sent Barch and a sixth-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft to Florida for left wing Jake Hauswirth and Florida's fifth-round pick in 2012.

The Lightning have acquired defensemen Evan Oberg and Mike Kostka from the Panthers in exchange for forward James Wright and defenseman Mike Vernace today, Vice President and GM Steve Yzerman announced. Oberg has played in 12 games with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL this season, notching two assists with 14 penalty minutes. He has played in 125 career AHL games with the Rampage, the Rochester Americans and the Manitoba Moose. Kostka has appeared in 18 games with San Antonio this season, recording two goals and six points. He has played in 255 career AHL games with the Rampage, Rochester and the Portland Pirates. Kostka was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Sabres on March 23, 2008.
